Access to Absalon's wireless network (WIFI)

On all Absalon locations there is access to three wireless networks:

  • ABSALON Net: is our secure wireless access to the Internet (incl. access to library databases) for employees and students. You must use your Absalon e-mail and password. A certificate is also needed in order to connect. This will be installed automatically when logging on the network.
  • eduroam: is a student net (in collaboration with other universities and colleges across the world). You must use your Absalon e-mail and password.
  • ABSALON Visitor: this wireless network can be used by everyone on Absalon's locations, and does not require Absalon login-credentials. Employees and students are not recognized as guests.

ABSALON Net is Absalon's secure wireless network for students and staff. You can use this network from your own computer or mobile unit (smartphone, tablet etc.). An Absalon e-mail and password is required in order to connect to the ABSALON Net. When you have typed your login credentials, you must accept the certificate before your device can connect.

When you are connected to ABSALON Net, you have

  • Full access to all internetbased services and sites
  • Free access to UCAs selected library databases

Connect your device

To use Eduroam, you need to install it on your devices: Smartphones, tablets and laptops.

It is important to run the setup program, as it ensures a better protection of your user name and password due to the installed certificate.

Start by selecting 'eduroam' in your Wi-Fi settings and log in with your Absalon e-mail and password

2. Allow that the program opens on your phone

3. Click 'Godkend' (Approve)

Start download the setup program from cat.eduroam.org

1. Click Run to start the installation

2. Click Next to proceed

3. Click OK to proceed

4. Enter your username. Your username is your Absalon emailadress ([email protected])

5. Enter your password and repeat it in the bottom field. Your password is the same as for net.pha.dk and your Absalon webmail

6. The installation is in progress

7. The installation is complete. Click Finish

Eduroam must not exist prior to installation because it may cause an error.

Download the program from Google Play to install eduroam properly.

1. Click Run to install the program

When the eduroam APP is installed run the program.

2. Select Professionshøjskolen Absalon and continue.

3. Click Install to proceed

4. Enter your username. Your username is your Absalon e-mailadress ([email protected])

5. Enter your password. Your password is the same as for net.pha.dk and your Absalon webmail

6. Install

7. The installation is complete. Click Finish

As a guest at Absalon, you can use this network from your own computer or mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.). No username or password is required to accessABSALON Visitor, and you can use the network for up to 23 hours once connected.

Please note that you may experience certain limitations when using this network, as it is subject to security measures that protect our daily operations. While connected toABSALON Visitor, your access to internet-based services and websites therefore may be partially restricted.

3.1. Connect to Absalon Visitor on your PC

1. Find the WiFi 'ABSALON Visitor' on your computer and connect.

2. Now click 'Open browser and connect'

3. A browser window will now open with this login box. Send an SMS with the word"access"to445to receive a voucher via SMS.

Enter the voucher code in theVoucherfield on your PC, then select"Login".

4. Once the login is completed, you will see thatABSALON Visitorappears as"Connected"in the Wi-Fi menu.

You can now access the internet using this voucher for up to23 hours.

3.2. Connect to Absalon Visitor on your smartphone

1. Find ABSALON Visitor in your WiFi settings

2. Send an SMS with the word"access"to445to receive a voucher via SMS. You can then either copy or manually enter the voucher code into theVoucherfield.

Next, select"Login".

3. You have now connected to the network.

You can now access the internet using this voucher for up to23 hours.
